The Mahaveer co-op bank was registered under the Karnataka co-operative societies Act 1956.
The bank was started in the year 1973 and started functioning on Vijayadashami Dasara on 25th October 1974 at L.N.Madali building Ravivar Peth,Belagavi .
The inaugural function of the bank was graced by his holiness Shri.Swastishri Laxmisen Bhattarak Pattacharya Swami Maharaj of Kolhapur and Shri.R.K.Anagol Register of co-operative societies of Karnataka Bangalore.
The bank celebrated its Silver Jubilee at the dawn of New Millennium.
